We are committed to promoting a competitive, economically vibrant Lehigh Valley, and we believe that in order for Lehigh Valley businesses to compete for top talent, we must have workplaces and communities that are diverse and welcoming for all, including, but not limited to, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
In order to remain a financially competitive state in an ever-evolving national and regional economy and marketplace, it’s time for inclusive non-discrimination policies in the workplace, in housing, and in public accommodations. Like a majority of Fortune 500 companies and other major businesses, in order to attract business and keep in step with best business practices, we need protections for our employees, residents and visitors on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
We believe that our organization is enriched by the inclusion of LGBT people, and by placing the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s LGBT Business Council’s decal in our business window or website, Da Vinci Science Center will work to create a “safe space” for our LGBT employees and patrons.
