ALLENTOWN, Pa, Sept. 10, 2024 – The Da Vinci Science Center proudly congratulates Jared Isaacman and the Polaris team for their pioneering efforts in crafting cutting-edge spacesuits, preparing for the unthinkable, and boldly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Their relentless dedication to defining problems and developing innovative solutions is not only shaping the future of space exploration but also setting an inspiring example for the next generation of problem solvers.

The spirit of innovation embodied by the Polaris crew reflects key practices described in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), which focus on the importance of identifying challenges and engineering creative solutions. These principles are also central to the Da Vinci Science Center’s educational philosophy.

“We are thrilled to congratulate Jared Isaacman and the Polaris team on their groundbreaking work,” said Lin Erickson, CEO and Executive Director of the Da Vinci Science Center. “Their commitment to innovation and problem solving serves as an incredible inspiration to our students and educators alike.”

At the Da Vinci Science Center, we are proud to carry forward this spirit of exploration through the Isaacman Next Generation Science Institute, where students are empowered to take on real-world challenges and engineer solutions—just like the Polaris crew. By engaging in hands-on STEM experiences, students not only learn about science and engineering but also practice the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to tackle the world’s most pressing challenges.

Isaacman’s ongoing support for the Da Vinci Science Center and the establishment of the Isaacman Next Generation Science Institute have provided students with unparalleled opportunities to develop these skills, laying the foundation for future innovators who will push the boundaries of what’s possible.
