Providing access to steam
The Da Vinci Science Center’s Linny Fowler STEAM Scholarship Fund (formerly known as the Science Inquiry Fund) provides funding for rising scholars with limited financial means and teachers with limited budgets so that they are able to access STEAM – science, technology, engineering, art, and math – Education Learning programs and Teacher Professional Development offered through the Science Center.
Scholarship recipients will have access to programs such as field trips, camps, science clubs, and live science shows, inspiring curiosity and opening minds to the array of STEM careers they can prepare for.
These STEAM education opportunities are offered in-person and virtually. Our target audiences are children Pre-K through middle school, with a priority on reaching students from low-income households who are underrepresented in STEM fields and do not have equal access to educational experiences.
In addition, many schools are interested in participating in these experiences but are unable to fund field trips and outreach programs due to budget restrictions. Scholarships for these programs are awarded to schools that fit specified criteria.
